Netball Development Officer Chrissy Bannerman held a mini netball camp for a Beavers Group this evening! The Beavers had great fun learning to pass and playing small sided games.
Coaches were able to learn a huge amount from the fantastic sessions put together and lead by Dr Anita Navin, Gilly Salter and ex-England star Pamela Cookey! With 114 Caps for her country players were particularly excited to be coached by the Pamela Cookey.
On Day Two the three coached sessions on defence, defending centre passes, switching from attack to defence and shooting. Players for this session were from U14 - U19. Coaches were able to learn a huge amount from the fantastic sessions put together and lead by Dr Anita Navin, Gilly Salter and ex-England star Pamela Cookey! With 114 Caps for her country players were particularly excited to be coached by the Pamela Cookey. The three took sessions for those in Years 6 and 7 in the morning of Day one and those in years 8 and 9 in the afternoon. Session One with years 6 and 7 After a fun warm up the players did some wallwork and then split into 3 groups - working on shooting and core work with Pamela Cookey, defence with Dr Anita Navin and passing and landing on the outside foot with Gilly Salter Session Two with Years 8 and 9 A great session for coaches with work on driving to get free, centre passes and how to defend them. Shooters also got to work on their skills with Pamela Cookey!
